HISTORY OF A PROJECT
As chance would have it, this was the fermentation vat which Albert Costa used when he started to make this wine. A wine, which he is introducing to you today and a vat, which as time has gone by, has led Albert to christen this wine with the name: TINA 41 (VAT 41).
Albert finished his winemaking studies and travelled to Australia and California to gain further practical experience, before subsequently joining the management team of Celler Vall Llach. Shortly after joining the winery, he realised that small quantities of quality must from young vines were not being used for Celler Vall Llach’s three classic wines: Embruix, Idus and Vall Llach.
He decided to make a wine, which he was responsible for and was to be made at the winery; yet a wine with an independent spirit of its own. Once he had taken on the challenge, he founded «Clos Asentiu» and started to work and coordinate all processes of his project. Now the day has come to release this wine to the public. TINA 41 is a thoroughbred Priorat, with virtues typical of wines from DOC Priorat. Albert Costa’s youth and enthusiasm has helped him to achieve an admirable balance between tradition and modernity which is reflected in this wine.
